John Baldino

John Baldino began his theatrical career in 1992 as one of the Chinese gamblers in Anything Goes at the Carbondale Repertoire Theatre (now the Corner Bistro Dinner Theater) in Carbondale, PA.  He is a native of Carbondale and still resides in northeastern Pennsylvania. 

Locally, John is best known for his work at the Corner Bistro Dinner Theater in Carbondale and as host of “Northeast Current” on WQPX-TV 64 (2005 Silver Telly Award winner).  Additionally, he has appeared on the stages of Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, Actors’ Circle (Scranton, PA), Applause Theatre (Duryea ,PA), Showcase Theatre (Exeter, PA), Diva Theatre (Scranton, PA), J&J Lounge (Hamlin, PA), Marywood Players and Afa Gallery (Scranton, PA).  He has also worked with Enteractive Productions (New York, NY), Paradigm Entertainment (Virginia Beach, VA) and Murder Mystery Weekend, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA).

Some of John’s favorite roles include Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Sr. Mary Hubert in Nunsense, Bobby in Company, Billy in Anything Goes and Fred in A Christmas Carol.

He also originated the roles of Patrick O'Connor in the Balsamo Family Trilogy, Jack in Mr. Christmas, Rev. Cletus Pitts in Romy & Judy Sue's Texas Chili Cookoff, and Jeffery Banks in Bella's Big Fat Mystery Wedding

John is a graduate of Marywood University, College of Creative Arts and Sciences where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in digital media and broadcast production.  

No stranger to television, John has been host/writer/producer of “He Came from the Heavens” for which he won a 2006 Bronze Telly Award.  He was host/writer of “Christmas around the World” and co-host of “A PAX Family Christmas,” all on WQPX-TV 64.  Other television credits include pledge host (WVIA), moderator of “Welfare Reform and its Impact on Children” (Adelphia Cable), host of “Twilite with John Baldino” (TV-Marywood) and featured actor in “A Storybook Christmas” (WNEP). 

He has done voiceover work for several commercials and promotional ads as well.  In 2002, John played himself in the independent film “Secret Agent Bob: the Movie.”  

As a singer, John appears regularly at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Dunmore, PA.  He’s also been a featured soloist at many area churches including the Dunmore Presbyterian Church and Jackson Street Baptist Church in Scranton, PA.  He is a featured soloist on the Christmas CDs "He Came from the Heavens,” released in 2004 and "How Can I Keep from Singing" (2008).
